I have a windows ce gps and I am looking for some software that will
act like a simple marine gps ie enter lat/lon waypoints and get course
and direction to steer etc.
Anyone know of such software/
Ian
The best solution used to be Fugawi, but that has been discontinued for
PDAs. The alternative seems to be Pathaway.

Thanks Steve,
Bit pricey I thought, but then so often the hardware complete with
software is often as cheap as just the software.

Yes, sadly true. There used to be some very good PDA/PC software
available but I can't find much of it around anymore. I suspect
individuals who started to create GPS software as a hobby have either
been recruited by big comnpanies or have simply given up.
Actually that sparked a memory.
Is this any use to you?

I've not tried the PDA version, but I have used the PC software. It
works well enough with scanned paper charts and I was vaguely thinking
of using it on my boat at one time. However I'm a stick in the mud (not
literally I hope) using paper and pencil still.
