Newbie question probably answered before but -
Just got a TT one Europe and there is precious little space on the SD card
for extra voices etc- if I want to use say a 2Gb card can I just copy the
contents of the original card to a directory on my PC and then copy it all
back to a new 2Gb card or are there any tricks I need to know?
cheers

In an earlier contribution to this discussion,
That's pretty much it. Make sure though that the options which you set in
Explorer include displaying (not hiding) hidden files, and displaying the
3-character extensions for all files.

Have done just that. Transcend 2GB 150x - through Amazon -£11 + £9!!!
EXPRESS POSTAGE - came 3 days later - first class RM!! - but it did
get here - UK Discount Sales - won't use them again :-{
Did Backup first on TTHome - just in case - created Folder on C:
"TomTom Disk" - copied all files from TomTom - not using "Home" -
making sure ALL files, includng System files, were copied to C: - from
TT. Inserted new card - named it same as original "TomTom Disk" and
then just copied all files back from C: to TT.
Apart from the extra storage can't say the 150x seems much faster -
but that wasn't the reason for doing it anyway.
Hope this helps - good luck.
just a thought - would it be better/quicker to restore a backup onto a new
card instead?

For cards that will be very nearly full, I always get a strange message

about there being not enough space. Not really sure why it can't be
more intelligent than that.
