I found there is an upgrade available for tomtom HOME. I downloaded
this (which took a long time) then found I was prevented from
installing it because I did not have administrator rights. I logged
on as administrator and was told there was no upgrade available (it
was not installed already). I tried logging on to the first account
again and choosing Run as administrator but I still was not allowed to
install the upgrade. Any solutions, or should I uninstall and
reinstall HOME? Any help appreciated.

Are you using Vista?
Is the upgrade only for XP?
Sounds like it with that, "Run as Administrator", thing.

Be careful. I uninstalled tomtom HOME and reinstalled from the
website only to find this was version 1 not version 2. I cannot find
tomtom HOME 2 anywhere. Leave well alone!
