I see the eTrex H is on sale at a very low price (£67.98). I assume
it is probably about to be replaced. I see it has no base maps so I
assume it is fundamentally the same as the original eTrex (but more
sensitive).
What puzzles me is that more sophisticated units refer to 'street
level' navigation. Like many others I suspect, I do not plan to use
this on the street. If you are using gps for hill-walking what
information do you actually see? Does it show tracks, summits, rivers
etc?
Can any units allow you to download waypoints from the Internet?
Any advice appreciated.
