I've been hearing recently about IQ route planning on tomtom go's where it
calculates different routes / times for certain days - i.e. A route
calculated on a Sunday will be different with different ETA that the same
route planned on a Monday morning.

Is this only for the very latest tomtom go's? I purchased a 720 about 3-4
months ago? Is there an update via home to enable this functionality?

It's only currently available on x30 models but will doubtless be
coming to the x20's via a V8 update soon. You may require a v8 map to
take advantage of this feature though.
