When I attempt to download the "Quickfix" update I get a windows STOP
error and blue screen. Several times. The error is STOP 0x00000023
(0x000E0100,0XEEB5B3CC,OXEEB5B0C8,0X805278AE). I have selectively
updated the UK safety camera data ok, but the quickfix seems to be
corrupt. Any thoughts. I have the latest ver of TT Home, just re-installed

Have you rebooted between update and use?

Stop 0x00000023 is 'file system' related.

See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290182/EN-US/ for starters. Try putting
"Stop 0x00000023" in the 'Search Support(KB)' box for some other
suggestions.

I would guess that the file system in question, is the one on the Tomtom.
I've only briefly played with the Tomtom stuff (I'm a Garmin man
myself)...but isn't it just the SD card that you can 'see' from the PC? --
Try running CHKDSK (or its Windows Explorer equivalent) against it.

When you say the latest version of Home, is this for XP or something
earlier, because the latest version doesn't work on XP - well the
installer recognises this as such and doesn't install on ME

Also do you mind me asking which TomTom device you have. I may elect
not to download the QuickFix this time as it shouldn't matter too much
if my version is over a week old

Sorry I should have said the latest version doesn't work prior to XP
