I've never owned a GPS device before, but I now need one that will:
(a) Pinpoint my location when trekking on Dartmoor and other remote
places in the UK.
(b) Give a grid reference, making it useful when sailing offshore.
(c) Show speed camera locations on UK roads
I'm curious about TomTom's Mobile 5 because it is supposed to work on
my Nokia 6230i mobile phone, and costs under £100. But is this Mobile
5 offering any good for my needs? I don't want to pay more than £100.
Thanks,
Mike D
It doesn't offer any off road navigation abilities, for the
sailing/trekking you'll need alternative software.

It does give a longitude & latitude readout, which would be useful for=20
offshore.

Yes, it would - thanks. Might even be useful for trekking accross
Dartmoor, etc...
But if Mobile 5 is discontinued, I take it that means the speed camera
database will not be maintained any more...

Mobile 5 (a mobile phone specific package) has been replaced by
Navigator 6 which covers PocketPC's AND supported Mobile handsets.
Our camera database is still available and Navigator 6 (and the Nokia
n73) is supported.
