I'm considering taking a motoring holiday in Ireland and would like to know
if there have been any major improvements in TomTom maps recently. My
current map of "Western and Central Europe" is Tele Atlas v650.1052 and I
wish to know if any later release is a major improvement in detail in the
city of Dublin and in rural Kerry and Cork or just maintenance releases for
subsequent road changes.
Tony
I can't comment on the Dublin area, apart from doing your best to
avoid the place at all costs :-) but the Cork and Kerry counties
should be OK as there has been relatively few new roads, apart from
the explosion of new housing estates everywhere!.
My main gripe with Tom Tom, compared to Garmin, is that it has very
few townland and village names. Other than that you shouldn't get
lost. Enjoy the south west. Best part of the country.
Richard.
