I have been given a tom tom one v4 europe. (Should arrive in a day or two)
What do I need to get traffic info and is it any use?
Do I need to pay any annual subscriptions?
If so how much and to whom?
Regards
Robert
To Receive traffic info you need to get an RDS TMC traffic receiver which
just plugs into the TomTom. The traffic updates are free there is no
subscription to pay, I have used it a few times it's ok but not great.I had
a short trip to go to and along the way the traffic receiver diverted my
route to avoid traffic ahead of me but i ignored it and carried on my usual
route and there was no traffic, so it's not always acurate.

paired to a bluetooth phone with GPRS internet access which will cost
you for the data it uses depending on what mobile contract you're on.

I only please one person per day. Today is not your day. Tomorrow isn't
looking good either. - Scott Adams
Many thanks to everyone that has replied. Most helpful. Will most probably
not get the traffic part.
