I've bemoaned in the past the problem with "widescreen" in-car satnav
that the orientation in landscape format is the "wrong" orientation with
portrait giving a better view of the road ahead. Up until recently I've
had to stick with landscape because that was all that was on offer.
I note that the Garmin 3790T offers both portrait and landscape format
as well as other "interesting features'. The only thing missing that I
quite fancy is the Freeview TV option on the model lower in the range.
Does anyone have any experience of this unit or of competing products
that also offer portrait format?
