Is there any simulator to test GPS device to see if it works correctly other
than the manufacturing regions?

Thanks,

Scott

I tested mine by going to a small cross roads of which I knew the National
grid reference from an OS map. BTW the test failed, first time, because
the Garmin gps was set to the wrong datum, and needed a settings tweek to
get it to work correctly.

method of accessing usenet. GG subscribers would be well advised get a
newsreader, say Agent, and a newsserver, say news.individual.net. These
will allow them: to see only *new* posts, a killfile, and other goodies.

Darren,

As you know the stand alone portable GPS device that can be used in car or
as a handheld device, and is manufactured in Far East, I would like to
verify the product is working correctly before release the shipment to
Europe. We have not bought such product before and looking for some idea to
test such product in the manufacturing region. Of course, the manufacturer
can test it locally. However, is there any way to ensure it works correctly
in Europe?

Thanks,

Scott

You can get GPS signal generators, but they are rather specialised and not
cheap. Probably cheaper to send an example to your mate in Europe and asking
him if it works. Why do you think it won't?
