Anyone know what these files are used for when installing the TomTom
navigator software on the PDA?

BtCoreIf.dll
BtSdkCE30.dll
ttn6bt2003.dll

I have removed these from my system to space save, and i actually think my
tomtom is alot quicker to get a fix and refreshing..

Thanks

They have to do with the Bluetooth GPS receiver side of things, I believe.

I know that on one or two PDAs, they are blamed for software freezes, as
they're incompatible with the WIN CE versions as modified by the PDA makers.

Thanks John

So removing these files should cause no harm to either the pda or tomtom
system ( unless i use bluetooth with tomtom? )

Maybe first rename them (which will take them out of use) and try to live
with that for a while, during which you can exercise all functions and
features, before finally removing them. Can you make a full backup that is
restorable before doing anything?

That's the way I did it. The only problem I had was that File Explorer
fell over when it tried to rename them, claiming that the file was
either protected or read only. (It was getting confused between the copy
in ROM and the one in RAM.)

There are workarounds, but they seem to be different for each PDA, so
you'll need to Google the filename and your PDA type.
