I bought the 6000 model last year for a number of reasons:
I already have Memory-Map on my PC and could load the maps onto the Road
Angel.
I wanted to try out a car sat nav.
There was a good reduction in a high street store.

I'm not sorry I bought it, but it has been a bit disappointing.
As a car sat nav it's OK, but has a habit of locking up
and you have to power it off & on to get it to work again.
Also, the menus defy any logic.

The Memory Map implemetation is poor compared to what
I can do with my Garmin handheld.

If you want OS mapping then Memory Map supports a number
of Windows PDAs. There is also Satmap (www.satmap.com)
which has recently been released, but it's quite expensive.

Dave,

Are you saying you managed to get Memory Map running on a RA6000 ? I thought it
would ony install on a RA7000.

Cheers
