I don't know what the static battery symbol means and I'm not familiar with the
F40 but having had a quick Google - have you removed and replaced the SD Card,
used the reset button, tried pressing and holding the ON/OFF button for several
seconds? These often work with a TomTom One. However, everyone seems to say,
return it - as quick as poss'! Happy hols, but remember, buy cheap, get cheap.
