Quick question before I buy a Nokia E51, does anybody own one and does it
work with Traffic (plus services)?

Thanks, Paul - Tomtom 520.

Bear in mind that tomtom have not updated their app on the mobile
platforms yet, so they're either deserting the platform or are soon to
release version 7 so you might want to wait around for a bit. Don't
be tempted by garmin mobile, I've been using it in comparison with
tomtom and it's nowhere near as good, other than when you have fairly
simple requirements and know where it is you're trying to get to.
Tomtom is far better for planning routes, finding things near places,
storing locations and so on. It's also got much more accurate travel
time predictions than garmin which is woeful.

Sorry, I have a Tomtom 520 and I am looking for somebody with experience of
using it with a Nokia E51 picking up traffic information via bluetooth.

It's not on the supported list but th E50 (presumably the earlier
version?) is so it may work.

You also need to ensure your network provider and ontract type. Some
PAYG services only support GPRS WAP data. For TomTom's PLUS Services
you need GPRS Internet.

Thanks Darren but I am still looking for confirmation from somebody who is
actually using a E51. I have been using traffic via my Nokia 6822 for a
couple of years now and am fully aware of the compatibily list, hence the
question. Spending £200 on 'it may work' is not a good idea!
