I think I have just crashed (KILLED) my i3......

I downloaded and installed a new set of POIs from pocketgpsworld.co.uk (a
source I have used many times before without a problem) and now my i3
refuses to work. It is no longer found by POI Loader or Webupdater (latest
versions) and I cannot get past the opening selection screen. Choosing
"Where to?" takes me to the next screen but nothing happens when a selection
is made. If choosing "View map" or "Settings", nothing happens at all. I
have done a full reset and checked the diagnostics (but don't really know
what I'm looking at!). However, the diagnostics report that I am getting a
good satellite lock.

These are some of my other diagnostic results:-

RAM, SOM & ASIC = all Pass

Mem stats: 2435, 13, 396, 22.

There is no NAND result (should three be?)

It only switches off very slowly or if the batteries are taken out. Any help
very much appreciated .....

Watch for the SPAMTRAP.

I don't know the device, however, many devices have unknown access
features these days. Usually it's a case of button pressing/holding whilst
switching the device on.
It's also worthwhile switching and/or trying the same type of key
pressing/holding with the device connected to the PC with the access
software detecting a connection.
I brought a dead PDA back into action using similar methods.

Hiyer

I'll give that a try in a bit, however I'm not too hopeful. Take a look at
this Forum Thread which I started - it seems at least one other person has a
similar problem - this time with a Garmin Nuvi...

Cheers.
