I've just ordered a GPS gizmo for my phone. I mainly only want it for
simple locating and recording tracks/distances/speeds, for which I have some
free software (Navigami - which is free, and supposed to be quite good)
Is it possible to get JAVA based SatNav software (ie 'At the next roundabout
take the third exit') most of the stuff I've found seems to require
'SmartPhones' ie those running Windows or Symbian operating systems.
If anyone can recommend reasonably priced Java software(if it exists) I'd
appreciate it. It'd be good if it also didn't require much GPRS (as in data
over the mobile network) access, as the tariff I'm on at the moment costs an
arm and a leg for any data transfers!!
