might be a daft question , i presume it with have a nice big sticker on the
box stating V2.....

i've ordered to collect via PC world , only 182.90 when ordered to collect
online , which is not bad....better than waiting until december 29th or
later for dixons to deliver with two discount codes at 165.89 , nice price
, but would rather have the kit sooner rather than later................but
the dredful thought of not recieving a V2 is having me wonder how to
identify the newer version.....

TIA.

you could have had one from Currys for £159.59, with discount codes, but
you'd have to wait til after xmas...

as for knowing what model you've got, apart from being more square and
thinner, it says...

tomtom
ONE
GREAT BRITAIN

on the front of the orange coloured box, and says (NEW EDITION) in the top
left corner

or mine does anyway

Fantastic , thank you for that , i went today and picked one up from PCworld
, i did a web order and collect 182.00 , i went to the business counter and
they did a furthur discount for customers that are in business , so i / the
business paid £174.38 inc vat , which for a instore price is pretty good and
no waiting untill the new year.......so not toooo bad , going to plug it in
later and have a play with it.

:-)

You also have to make sure that it's got the maps that have been
released in the last month or else pay out again for new maps (unless
you are prepared to use maps that are a few years out-of-date).

I wonder how many people are going to get a Tomtom for Christmas with
older maps? This must be a great time of year for retailers to shift old
stock.

You are suggesting that the TomTom One Regional (i.e. GB in this country)
has been shipped with more than one version of UK maps. Do you know that
to be a fact?

Is there really any such a thing as "old stock" TomTom ONE Regional?
