Anyone here using a Garmin V connected to a Nikon D200 or D2x?

I assume you want the positional/date/time from the GPS to
be imposed onto an image taken by the camera?

The output from a Garmin V is in RS232 format, (and variants
selectable via a menu) so any device capable of reading this
form of data will be usable.
Connecting leads may not be available "off the shelf" so you'll
need to make one. Plugs for the Garmin V are available, don't
know about the camera you have.
A solution is to join cables with the correct plugs for each
unit, normally three wires.

There is a dedicated Nikon cable available for some Garmin models but the V
is not mentioned. I already have a 4 wire Garmin cable which I bought to
put my V on my motorcycle but I cannot buy the necessary 10Pin Nikon plug.
This is why I was asking if any one had done it.

Well maybe joining the cable is the answer. Lots of possibilities of
male/female
connects depending on the environment it needs to operate in. Doing this
means
you'll be able to interchange between different devices.

I wonder if you've ever looked at the following site and services?

http://www.pfranc.com/
http://www.pfranc.com/cables/index.shtml

I've used them in my early GPS years, mostly for 4 pin Garmin plugs. It's
quiet a unique outfit and worth a read if nothing else.
