Any opinions yet about the Garmin Nuvi?
I am about to get my first GPS for car use.
Most people seem to have the TomTom - but the Nuvi has just come out -
and I wonder how it compares?

Garmin make very good GPS devices, however they do seem rather expensive
compared with other makes.
I use a Navman N20 BTW.

I have had a Nuvi 350 for about a year, and I like it. I've used it
for road navigation in the UK and many other European countries.
I've also used it in South Africa and Namibia, using software from
www.garmap.co.za

As a GPS it is easy to use and reliable; as an MP3 player, dictionary,
currency converter and general "travel companion" it is of rather less use...
