Hi
I am a complete novice with GPS and have just purchased my first , a Garmin
GPSMAP76C
I have had Garmin blue water charts on my PC for a while for charting wreck
locations.
Problem,, my blue water charts are registered, the 25 bit serial entered ,
but when I try to pass maps over to the GPS it say the charts are locked.
The GPS also displays a box saying can,t unlock maps.
I have read the Garmin FAQ ect, it says I can unlock a second unit running
the registration program again,, and set it to unlock second unit,, however
it does not give me the option,, my charts are old ish ver 4 as when I
bought them cheap I did not need to put them on a gps just basic charts on
my pc for long and lat..
What's the point of a GPSMAP if you can,t transfer maps.
Any idea please
