I am new to Sat Nav and would like to just put the name of a town as a
destination,without a street or post code ,When, I do this on the Garmin, it
asks for ,street, postcode etc.all I need is to get to the town area, how
should I proceed Thanks E

Pick a random postcode that is roughly in the centre of the town...?

On the 300 series one can put in a map reference - very useful for going
to car parks where the 'address' is not known. I suspect the 250 would
have a similar facility.

Instead of picking the Address icon, try the City (or is it Town)
icon.
