Hello, as someone who still uses a Garmin Streetpilot 111, I have just
received my update CD. I am wondering if all the routes that I have in the
Streetpilot 111 that were made up on my desktop computer using City
Navigator v.7 will still be effective if I "remap" my memory cards with the
2008 version. Logic tells it should be ok, but I would be gratefull for some
advice.

Thank you
Stewart

With my SP 2610 if you try to activate a route calculated on an old map it
comes up with a warning message giving you the option of
a) recalculating the route on the new map, or
b) using the old route as it is.
I'm not sure what happens if you choose option b), but if you choose to
recalculate it annoyingly assumes that you are starting from your current
position rather than from the start point you originally specified. Also the
waypoints on the old route are not always still valid with the new map which
can cause problems. In the end I got fed up trying to adapt my old routes and
redid them from scratch on the new map.
