Just received this update by email from Ofcom today:

The MoD has informed Ofcom of the following GPS jamming exercises:

Dates: 31 March to 4 April 2008
Times: between 08:00 and 18:00 hrs
Location: To sea from Bridlington - N54° 06.842’ W000° 05.045’


Dates: 20-21 April 2008 (26 April 2008 reserve day)
Times: between 09:00 and 17:00 hrs
Location: To sea from The Hebrides - N57° 14.4’ W007° 26.7’

Out of interest, why did you cut out the rest of the email?
This included the bit about it being confidential and intended for the
use of the individual only?

Because it's entirely irrelevant.

You'll maybe have noted that I removed the contact telephone numbers too.

As anyone can subscribe the mailing list it's hardly confidential!

I fully agree that this information is hardly confidential!, however
it does not change the fact that the original email clearly states
that it is "confidential and intended for the use of the individual
only".

Reproducing the contents in a public news group is therefore not
allowed! Cutting out the relevent notice does NOT give anyone the
right to publish it!

This person has now opened themselves to legal action if Ofcom wanted
to!!
