Hello there,

I am new to this forum, and if possible, would like some advice
regarding a GPS
Receiver I recently purchased.

I have purchased a G66 Touch Global Top GPS Receiver (slim line
version) and
have charged the product fully. Once switching the power
on, I cannot manage
to pair it with my Nokia N96 mobile phone that has
TomTom Version 6.010
installed on it. I go in to the TomTom application
and then confirgure the
device but will not find it.

I can pick up other external GPS devices (like my existing one) all
except this
new one. The Bluetooth light flashes on the Receiver and
the Green light keeps
flickering too and my handset just will not find
it. I've even tested this out
in the open, and still my handset will
not pair with this device.

Does anyone know of any problems with this device connecting to certain
phones?

Thank-you for your help.

Can you try using a computer running XP or later, or Linux Kernel 2.4.x.x or
later, to search for the device?

The latest standard issues a specific number to complete the pairing, the
problem being the mobile phones etc can't resolve the number the Bluetooth
device is sending.

My laptop, running Vista, with built-in Wireless and Bluetooth does not
even
pick up the G66 Receiver either. My laptop picks up everything all
except the
G66 Receiver.

My mate just tried pairing it to his mobile and has the same issue as me.
He has
the same G66 Receiver and my mobile can pair up to his one, but my
version will
not work, so I think mine is faulty?

Regards
