I am trying to enter a location on Google Maps into my Tomtom.

See destination (location B) on this map:
http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=d&saddr=Alicante+Airport+Spain&daddr=Casa+Suenos,+Mar+Menor+Golf+Resort&hl=en&geocode=%3BCZajESK9ewouFRrqPwIdBOnx_yEnHrxi4tuTtQ&mra=pe&mrcr=0&sll=38.843986,-0.670166&sspn=1.762671,3.493652&ie=UTF8&ll=38.023545,-0.7391&spn=0.108181,0.274658&z=9&source=embed

Despite all my efforts I cannot find how to enter it into my tomtom (as a
poi, as the address does not apear to be on the tomtom map).

Is it possible perhaps to somehow extract the coordinates from Google Maps,
and then enter them manually into my tomtom? Or perhaps there is an easier
way?

Yes & Yes, on my TTR2 I can enter co-ordinates, perhaps an easier way would
be to browse your tomtom map to the spot, and then add selected point as
favourite.

I usually do this by Browse Map, finding the location, poking the map to
set the point and then adding it to a POI group or to Favourites.

BTW that looks like a weird point; it's either an underpass under the AP-7
highway or it's the point on the motorway above that underpass but either
way it's not a useful destination for anyone traveling South on the
highway. Wherever you're trying to go near there, I suggest you take the
junction abut 2km further down and then make your way to the local address.

Pass.

Yes you can get the latitude and longitude. They are in the url above, the sll
param.

You can do it with a relatively simple script too.

> Or perhaps there is an easier way?

It isnt that hard to completely automate the production of POIs from maps.google
lists.

Now you can give your route in Google Earth and then with Tyre you can bring
it to your TT.
Good Luck
