I've just been given a Go 920T to replace my old Go 700.
While it certainly has a lot of great new features, it seems to be a
step backwards in one important sense.
The 700 came with a windscreen mount docking cradle. This very
conveniently had pass-thru sockets for the power cable etc, meaning
once attached the Tomtom got its power from the cradle. I only had to
snap the TomTom itself onto the cradle and not have to worry about
connecting and disconnecting leads every time.
That's not true with the 920T. The included windscreen mount is very
basic. I have to connect the power and RDS TMC leads directly to the
TomTom each time I use it. That can be fiddly, especially at night.
A possible solution would be something similar to the 700 mount kit: a
cradle like mount with a holder that has connectors matching the
TomTom's power and RDS-TMC sockets. Just drop the tomtom into it and
hey presto.
Trouble is I can't seem to find anything that provides this solution.
Does anyone know of such a thing?
I hope that's clear.

Two solutions that I know of come from Brodit and Carcomm. My personal
preference having reviewed both is the Carcomm:

A followup question if you don't mind.
When I got the 920 I had a permanent power lead connected behind the
dash so I don't have to use the lighter to get power. Would either of
these two kits allow for this?
I ask because the pictures of the Carcomm I've seen online show a cig
lighter plug for the power lead, rather than (say) a USB socket (not
allowing the user to choose the power source).
