Wotcher all, are there any USB mouse-type GPSes that can also make a
bluetooth connection at the same time? I'm after getting one that can
connect via USB to a laptop and also accept a bluetooth connection
from a mobile. One for navigating, one for logging. Any units out
there?

Ian, Emtac's Tine BT GPS can communicate with up to 4 devices
concurrently albeit via BT only. Might be an option?

Blimey! Would be an option but the laptop doesn't have working
bluetooth, but I'll have a think about whether I want a bluetooth
dongle sticking out of the laptop (it's a ruggedised laptop in the
pinzgauer so gets some rough treatment). Cheers for the link, I'll do
some thinking.

If you were happy with the idea of a USB cable being connected for the
GPS you can pop the USB dongle on the end of a short USB extension lead
to avoid having it project far from the USB port.

I used to have a Fortuna GPSMart that could do BT and serial ( and
you'd need a usb to serial convertor or a serial port)

May be worth looking to see if they make a new similar model or look
on fleabay
