Does the H have the ability to move a waypoint to the current location?
It might seem trivial, but the ability to move "carpark" to where you're
stood rather than having to delete the existing "carpark" waypoint and
create another veeery slooowly is one of the features I treasure on my
(original) eTrex Legend.
But the Legend's slightly broken, and Garmin want the same to fix it
than I could get an H for. As all I use it for is waypoints and speed,
it might make sense to get a newer H with better sensitivity than refurb
the Legend.

Can you automatically assign your current position to an existing
waypoint? I don't think so, but you can edit the co-ordinates of an
existing waypoint.

The eTrex H holds its lock under conditions that would have killed my
old Geko 301 stone dead. It works indoors, for example, and under very
heavy tree cover. If you already have the cable and a serial/USB
converter I'd say go for the H.

I'd be tempted apart from the hassle of waypoint moving.
That said, the lock sounds appealing - I've even noticed the car the
Holux I bought for £14 off of ebay seriously outperforming my ageing
2610, and the etrex that seemed rocketship fast when I first got it all
those years ago seems to take ages to get lock now.
I take it that the battery compartment is the same so there's no hassle
with changing the cycle mounts etc?
