"Last week's item on TomTom and their decision to withdraw support for third
party POI alerts certainly got you all talking! TomTom lead the way in
recognising the value of third party POIs and, whilst basic support is still
to be offered, the removal of the alerts function in future models stifles
choice."

Not great for those of us who like to use third party POIs and want to be
alerted by that POI. Might be time to try another brand when replacement
time comes! Looks like they are going to try to force us all to buy our
Speed Camera POIs from them.
