Just read yesterday's Daily Telegraph magazine: ProNav (or is it NavPro?)
and RAC sat navs have a route calculation option for HGVs (or similar) in
addition to TT's Fastest/Shortest/avoid toll roads...
Anyone know of a means of 'enabling' this on a TT? Especially a Go 910 - I'm
a caravanner and, after studying directions and a large-scale map, make some
roads either "Blocked" or "One way" to force a different route. And, when
all else fails, resort to experience.

Hi Keith.
This is via a special map (815.2112), requiring navcore 8.070, 8.2xx or
8.3xx. These navcores are not published by TomTom for x10 but they are
working fine anyway : my 510 is running navcore 8.320 since a couple of
months without any concerns.
Have a look there :

Rgds.
Lionel
Thanks Lionel,
I see that it does not have CSpeech, which is something I use (especially in
continental Europe).
If I load navcore 8.3xx will it jeopardise my current 710.1561
Western_and_Central_Europe map?
Is it too simplistic for me to have both my current map and the Truckers map
(renamed Western_and_Central_Europe_Truckers?) on my 910? I could then use
the Truckers version for getting caravan-friendly routes.
Are there any advantages (for a 910) in using maps more recent than
710.1561?
Rgds,
Keith

Hi.
First of all, don't forget to backup (via windows explorer, not Home) you
device before installing any non official (not released for) navcore !
You still can use a 710 map with a 8.3xx navcore but 815 maps are more
accurate and includes cool stuff like Mapshare, ALG, IQ, TTS, ASR.
It worth it to buy an update ... or not.
Also, you can have as many different maps on your GO as you have disk space
left : you then switch from one to the other whenever you need.
Rgds.
