Why is it that when I am on the road in the UK I have a small scale
multicoloured map of just the local area, (driving view?) but in
France a large scale map of most of the country?
Haven't been to any other countries as yet!

Just (last night) got back after 4 weeks touring France, Belgium, Germany,
Austria and Switzerland. I use Europe_845_2645 - no probs. Which map, TT
and version are you using?

I don't know about the map, but it was updated on the day I posted
the message above.

Perhaps that's something to do with it, but in UK I get a map
display which only shows detail for a mile or so around (adjustable),
Why not in France? IGN's copyright or something?
