I am trying to get hold of a copy of TomTom 6 that I can install onto a
micro SD card for use in my phone. TomTom no longer sell this
I also understand that it comes on a card and cannot be moved to a bigger
card. Anybody explain why this is. I already have a 4gb card in the phone
and don't want to keep swapping just to use TomTom
Thanks

On DVD. Installs to any memory card with enough space. I've got it on a
2Gb mini SD card in an iPAQ hw6515.
Just be aware that the maps on the DVD date from 2006, and the latest
update available for Navigator 6 is from early 2007.
If your phone runs a later OS, then Navigator 7 may be what you want, if
you can wait a while.

I run Windows mobile 6.1 on my phone. I have internal GPS on a Palm Treo
Pro, but cannot get a distinctive answer re compatability and it is not
listed on the V7 list

I can't help you with that, I'm afraid, my gear's all too old.

I have found the telephone helpline listed on the website to be helpful
in the past, although others haven't.
Navigon have a free download to test their program here:-

I have found their policy on map updates to be a bit annoying, though.

Hi Rob.
It worth a try to go on this forum (www.gpsunderground.com, Tomtom section)
where you can get very precise answers to any kind of question you may have
on a GPS.
You have to register but you'll get no spam nor viruses, don't worry ...
Btw, for the 2Gb limit, I guess it is because this old version of Tomtom
software does not support more than that, even if the actual device running
it does. Try to upgrade to the latest version for PDA (v7.91x). Again, see
the forum for that.
Rgds.
