Trying to plan my next holidays with my new ONE IQ Routes and TMC,
I prefer to test the "features" on local ways I know before.

I have built an itinerary with waypoints for a small trip and,
when verifying the trip on the map... my TomTom ignores all
the intermediate waypoints to go to the destination ;-( I have
the default settings for the "fastest way" as usually.

Using the "shortest way" option ...and TomTom recognizes all the
waypoints. However this mode is not very convenient ! I do not
like to travel through "small roads" for the shortest path !

I liked very much TomTom but whith such a "bug" (manual says
that all about the waypoints as it should be) I'm afraid that
the software developpers have missed the goal ;-(

Thanks to report this to TomTom and to hope a correct behavior
asap.

Well I've only used the feature for stops. When in that mode it assumes
each leg is a separate trip, so it calculates to the first stop, then
(surprise) it stops. You activate it again to navigate to the second stop.
I believe waypoints are just that, it should plan the trip from where
you are to the final destination but include the waypoints in the route.
If it does that (and like I said I haven't verified), the unit is
working as I would expect it to work. You can convert a waypoint into a
stop and vis a versa. The default seems to be a stop until you change
it. My previous 130S didn't have this feature and it's one that I much
appreciate on the 140S.
The other neat feature is you can store the itineraries for later use
and a simple start to destination can be defined as an itinerary.

I've never seen that - Itineraries have always behaved as it says on the
tine. Could you mail me the .itn file, it's just a plain text file list of
points, and I'll be happy to check it out on my TomTom.

This itinerary was tested 'live' ...as I know it well. However I had to
follow MY itinerary without listening TomTom instructions ;-(

It is in Switzerland and you can set the first waypoint as start :

651007|4659948|Allens|0|
652604|4666746|Orny|0|
656459|4676623|Mathod|0|
684091|4694127|Rue Des Courtils 43, Cortaillod|2|

GPS: Tomtom One IQ Routes Édition
Application Version: 9.026
Map: Western and Central Europe
Map Version: 845
Tomtom Home: (PC) 2.7.3.1894

Interested also to know your model...

As I had no answer of my report to TomTom support, I have called
them and also are in front of a "bug" which will be send to the
developpers !

I have provided images telling exactly the problem I have (more
than words).

However, happy to know what are other TomTom behaviors...
