Hi
Ive recently bought a 750 Go Live (UK + Europe)
When travelling back home from London I prefer to travel North via the
M1.
However my TT seems to avoid the motorway as it always chooses the A1. I
note there is an option to avoid motorways but in this case I want to do
exactly the opposite.
Is there a way I can set it so that it always chooses the M1 for that
part of my journey home? At the moment I have to keep telling it to
find an alternative route and eventually it chooses the M1.
I'm enjoying my new 750 but I'm still learning how to navigate my way
through its options!
Thanks for any info.
Ian
Construct an Itinerary and place a waypoint in it at the point where you
wish to join the M1.

At least on the 710, that doesnt work very well. It doesnt automatically
move on to the next item in the itinerary as you pass each one.

Maybe you could explain exactly what happens when you see that fault. Does
the TomTom keep giving you driving directions toward that waypoint or what
else does it next give in the way of driving directions?
The itinerary certainly will automatically move on so long as you actually
follow the directions right up to the waypoint and do not choose to just
pass through somewhere you judge to be close enough and also ignore any
directions to turn around.
If you place a waypoint say on the wrong side of a divided highway or in
intersection exit that you won't actually pass through and you also ignore
any directions to turn around in order to reach the waypoint, TomTom will
indeed (and correctly) believe you did not yet reach the waypoint, will
keep directing you towards it and of course the itinerary will not move on
automatically until you reach it.

I already did.

Nope.

None, zero, nada, ziltch. It stops giving driving directions.
You have to enter the itinery section again and have it ask you if you
want to navigate to the next item in the intinery at each waypoint.

I'm not talking about that situation.
