Is it possible to make a Tomtom Go 700 turn on with the ignition key?
Its a real hassle holding the power button for 3-4 seconds every time I get
in the car.
Mine powers up when I supply power, so if yours is fed from a permanent
supply move it onto a switched supply (simple?)

Its in the cigarette lighter socket which gets power in the key accessory
position, yet it doesn't come on when the key is turned.
Is your power cord plugged into the go 700's power socket or the cradle's
power socket?
Hi.
It really depends on the combination of tomtom software (aka navcore) and
bootloader (ie. linux version) releases : it has to be a standard feature
until some point in release 7 but it then disapeared (with release 8 ... if
I remember well) and as far as I know, it is not going to be re-introduced.

Ah. That clears a few things up. What a shame.
So it was the navcore etc.
I don't suppose it would be possible or practical to go back to the previous
ones.
