I bought a Tomtom One v3 in December 2007 which I thought would have
up-to-date maps on it.
Yesterday I searched for a postcode SK1 4LY and it wasn't on the map BUT it
was in an old AtoZ map book.
I am very puzzled by this, any clues?

And also if I want to update my maps to the latest ones why have I got to
buy all the versions inbetween?

Not really, other than the fact that their new maps still have errors
that were reported to them years ago.
Postcode searching isn't always the most reliable in my experience,
also that postcode doesn't show up if you search for it on
www.multimap.com either.

I find that very strange, you don't have to do that with a TomTom Go.

The best place for more info is probably the TomTom forum at Pocketgpsworld.

You'll find it at

1. According to the Royal Mail, postcode SK1 4LY does not exist.

2. You can buy just the latest maps.

Thanks fellas

On the tomtom web site you have to upgrade through all the maps you cannot
skip to the latest map.
