Iphone 1.3 App TTS problem

Hope someone else here is running the Iphone TT app version 1.3? The TTS
engine is a bit weird. It has trouble with abbreviations. It speaks E
instead of EAST.... letters B L V D instead of the word boulevard....
letter A instead of Avenue, etc etc. For an address on EAST PARK AVENUE it
says " E PARK A. Probably an easy fix for someone smarter than I am to find
and replace, the correct file. I'm capable of editing it, but don't know
which file has the problem? Thanks!
