If you were Registered and logged in, you could reply and use other advanced thread options
I have calibrated topographic maps 1:25.000 scale from Croatia with a
granularity of 2.5 m/pixel.
I had local grid coordinates to do the job.
Now I have to verify.
Does anybody have waypoints in WGS84 in Croatia that I can find on my maps
(middle of bridges,roads crossing...).
If someone knows of a list of triangulation points (church towers etc.) I
would be happy.

Here is two points taken from Topo Adria Garmin map in Zagreb. Middle of the
bridges over river Sava. Highway #A2 N45 49.742 E15 49.158 and highway #A3
N45 47.284 E16 07.458

Not waypoints, but sailing tracks that include parking at marinas. But
cannot vouch for x&y locations of those because exact parking positions will
be arbitrary. Of course the tracks between parking points are even more
arbitrary as far as maps go!

I want to thank all for their support.
I have gotten a long list of triangulation points for Croatia.
And Mike, I will use your track. When I see you sailing over land then I know
I have done something wrong with the calibration :-)
