I understand what voice guidance is but why would you need software to
back up separately from the install CDs or any other backup untility?

Or is this voice guidance to help you reverse out of your driveway? ;)

Because if you're on the road and suffer a hard reset you need to be
able to reload those voice guidance commands without syncing with a
computer.

Anyone buying a 3200 (or 3600) should realize it's a PDA with GPS
capabilities. The hardware is perfectly suited for that task. I am
still extremely happy with my 3600. Then again, I'venever used a
dedicated GPS unit.
