I received one of these on Monday and I like it a lot expect for the
fact that the map on it doesn't include the (new) estate where I live
despite my having been living there for three years and the current OS
maps including the estate too.

I was prepared to put up with this and buy a map update in 6 months or
so but I see map version 6.75 had been released today and I rather
resent having to pay for a map upgrade 2 days after getting the device.
I have version 6.60 map. The device cost UKP190 and I don't want to
have to pay another UKP68 (99 Euros) just to bring it up to date so soon
after getting it and before actually using it in anger. Especially as
there is no guarantee that my estate will be on the 6.75 maps either.
TomTom support were unable to tell me either way.

Does anyone know if I should be entitled to my first map upgrade for
free as it is so soon after purchase (2 days)?

Can someone with the 6.75 maps tell me if OX4 2FU produces a road called
Reliance Way ? Version 6.60 has my home position as being in a field...

Thanks,

Tony

Can't help with TomTom, but it doesn't appear on latest version of
Garmin (Navteq) maps, or Google or viamichelin (Teleatlas). Latter
show Palladian Court

Yes - this was an error with Ordnance Survey. Palladian Court was the
marketing name used by the developers.

You can report errors to either/both Navteq or Teleatlas on their
respective websites. They do take notice, from personal experience

After about 5 years . . . if you're lucky!
