What are ShapeFiles:
A ShapeFile is a format developed by the Environmental Systems
Research Institute (ESRI) for storing non-topological geometry
and attribute information.
ShapeFiles are usually used in conjunction with ESRI software
products, but the format may be created and used by anyone.
