GNSS researchers at the University of New Brunswick, Canada, have created=
a Precise Point=20
Positioning (PPP) Software Centre website to offer an easy means of compa=
ring solutions=20
from online PPP applications. Users are invited to send a RINEX observati=
on file that will=20
be simultaneously processed by three online PPP applications:
- CSRS-PPP [Natural Resources Canada]
- GAPS [University of New Brunswick]
- APPS [Jet Propulsion Laboratory]
The processing results from all applications are used to automatically cr=
eate graphs=20
enabling an easy comparison of the results. Readers can find examples of =
outputs generated=20
as well as useful information on interpreting the results in the =E2=80=9C=
Examples=E2=80=9D section of the=20
Precise Point Positioning (PPP) Software Centre website.
The website also presents in more detail the purpose of this project, alo=
ng with some=20
guidelines that need to be respected when sending an observation file.
The researchers invite all interested parties, particularly those with hi=
gh accuracy=20
requirements, to use this service and provide feedback. The website was c=
reated under the=20
auspices of the Geomatics for Informed Decisions (GEOIDE) Network of Cent=
res of Excellence=20
Project 31.
