. . . but even with OZI you have to calibrate first (Projection,
MapDatum, Grid?)

No, as you click the mouse on a given point in the calibration screen, it
gives you the pixel co-ords, you must kinow what the lat/long co-ords are
for that point, but then, if you don't know at least one set of parameters,
how can you define the others?
