Hi!

I have a problem and hope you can help me.

After using the WebUpdater to upgrade the firmware
on my Nuvi200 it does not find any satellites.
The satellite strength bars (red ones) vary from 0 to 2.
But no complete fix occurs. I left it out for an
hour and even drove up a nearby hill :) No way.

What I did:
I upgraded to FW 5.00 and afterwards I chose that
Chipset M update from the list. (GPS SW 2.90m)

I downgraded and re-upgraded to all firmwares
I could find - using the exe-files from perry/nuvi
or the older ones that have to be applied with
updater.exe in pre-boot-mode.
Nothing changed.

I did hardrests, deleted user data ( that push right corner
while power-up thing). Nothing, too.

I even tried one of that tracklog-firmwares, but as I
expected, no change.

Well, I would like to downgrade the GPS SW, but I have
no idea how this could be done...I took a look
how the webupdater does it. By modifing the GarminDevice.xml
and setting the GPS SW=B4s major and minor to Zero I
was able to do the chipset update again. It
greates a file Update.RGN within the temporary files.
I guess the file matches /Garmin/RemoteSW/006B073300.GCD,
it has the same size, I have not checked MD5.

Well, as you see I tried some stuff, but I completly
ran out of ideas. So please help me :)

Thanks,
jones

One more classic: remove the batteries for an hour (or overnight),=20
re-insert them, then leave the unit in a clear area.
