gdb opens for me in Mapsource 6.13.1.

What are .gdb files used for?

All I could find was:

"GDB is the file extension for the Database file associated with
InterBase."

.gdb is the default file type when you save a MapSource file with maps,
routes, waypoints and tracks. It probably stands for Garmin database?
