Need some help please

Hi everyone. I am new using ARCVIEW. I am learning to use it with the
owner's manual. I am working in a research project in Mexico. My
problem is this: I was asked to investigate how to change the
geographical reference and scale of a theme in a vies so it can be used
with other geographical data. This is, i open a theme of a mexican
state and lets say it apears in the center of the screen. Later I open
a theme with the map of mexico and it appears far from where it is
suppose to be according with the first theme. Also this new theme is a
little bigger.

I know this question must be a little silly for advance users but I am
not one of those. I will appreciate a lot your help.
