What is its IPX rating? How shock-proof is it? Price? Questions
that need answering before it can compete against existing products on
the market.

IPX 7. More details you can find on their website www.tomtom.nl (choose
English language).

Still prefer my 2610. It connects to the Autocom intercom/audio system
already on the bike and works in the car as well.

I can't stand that pseudo-3D display on the TT products either.

Looks great, main questions remaining:

- How long can the unit survive the natural vibes of a KTM LC4
large single stroke engine? Don't laugh, if you ever owned a
bike with one of those engines, you'd know it destroys almost
anything, just a matter of time...

- How well/up-to-date are the maps concerning European coverage,
as detailed as Garmin mapsource?

- Is the PC software available for *Linux*? This would be a real
reason for me to switch from Garmin (GPS II+/GPS V) units,
which work really great, but I'd get one of those soon if the
software runs on Linux natively.
