Memory-Map: joining tracks?

Any Memory-Map user around please? I have a very basic question is not
covered in the Help, and the UK forum has around a 2 day response
time.

How do you join 2 tracks? Suppose I draw track A and then another
track B starting very close to the end of A. Exactly how do I get them
joined please?

I saw a reply on the forum to a similar enquiry, which said
will join the 2 tracks together as long as they are close enough to be
joined."

But I cannot get that to work here, no matter what setting I put in
MIN UPDATE DISTANCE.
