Hi!

I'm on a not so secret geophysicis mission in central China and my
laptop was pushed off of a stack of boxes this afternoon. The laptop
survived, but the hard drive didn't. A backup of my hard drive and
all of my Mapsource CDs are about 9000 miles away. Is there any way I
can jump start Mapsource to install to this laptop without any
mapsource product being previously installed? I really need to be
able to download/upload and use my Vista. I could probably find an
ilegal copy of World Map over here, which I really need too, but I'd
rather not. :)

What happend to being able to email Garmin? All I see are US and
Europe phone numbers, which do me no good.

Thanks!

Bob Greschke

You don't say what you want to up/download. Garmins trip and waypoint
manager might be a cheap alternative, or you might be able to download it as
I think it doesn't need any unlocking.

There is a hacked worldmap 3.01 floating on the net, maybe as bittorrent.

There are also many free or shareware programs available on the net.

sendmap
gartrip
gpsutility

to mention a few

I have these from previous contacts:

techsupp@g----n.com
cartography@g----n.com
websales@g----n.com

Replace the "-" appropriately :-)
